Wooden Ice Baths
Our wooden ice baths pair a real cedar shell with a 304 stainless steel liner, so they stay hygienic and age well outdoors. Choose the round Cedar for an upright, seated dip, or the Oval Cedar to recline and stay in longer. Both take two 1/2" chiller ports and arrive with a step and a fitted cover. Cedar ships pre-finished, so a wipe of Danish oil now and then keeps the grain fed. Free UK delivery on both.

A wooden ice bath is a permanent fixture, built to sit in a garden, studio, or gym. Both models pair a real cedar shell with a 304 stainless steel liner. Cedar copes with damp air and deepens in tone as it ages. The steel surface wipes clean and shrugs off corrosion.
Each tub is built by hand, so grain and colour vary between units. That is part of owning a wooden bath. Both take a chiller, and both include a step and a fitted cover.
How to choose a wooden ice bath
The choice comes down to posture. The round Cedar seats you upright for a short, sharp dip in a small footprint. The Oval Cedar lets you recline and stretch out, so you can stay in longer. A reclined plunge eases the neck and hips, which helps your breathing settle. Both share the same cedar-and-steel build, so hygiene and care are identical. Wipe the timber with Danish oil now and then to feed the grain.
| Model | Posture | Build | Size (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cedar Ice Bath | Upright, seated | Cedar / 304 steel liner | 930 dia x 1000 h |
| Oval Cedar Ice Bath | Reclined, full-body | Cedar / 304 steel liner | 1300 x 920 x 720 |
Need something you can pack away or move around? Our inflatable ice baths travel between sites and store flat. Either way, a wooden tub needs cold water to earn its keep, so add one of our ice bath chillers for a hands-free loop. See the full range on our main ice baths page.
Common questions
Cedar resists damp and looks good outdoors. The 304 stainless liner gives a hard, hygienic surface inside. Water never touches raw wood, so cleaning takes seconds. The two materials together last far longer than bare wood alone.
No, but a chiller removes the daily ice run. Two 1/2" stainless ports link straight to any chiller we sell. The loop holds your target temperature without loose ice. Without one, you fill the tub and add ice by hand.
Wipe it with Danish oil every few months. The timber ships pre-finished, so no work is needed on arrival. Re-oiling feeds the grain and holds the colour. The steel liner just needs a rinse and the odd wipe.
Upright for short dips, reclined to stay in longer. The round Cedar keeps you seated with water high on the chest. The Oval Cedar lets you lie back and drop your shoulders under. Most regular plungers end up preferring the reclined shape.
Both wooden ice baths ship with free UK delivery and a 30-day returns window. If it is not right for your space, send it back.
