Cedar Ice Bath: An Upright Barrel Cold Plunge

The Cedar Ice Bath is a round wooden plunge tub. You sit upright inside it. The vertical posture keeps sessions short and focused. Many people find this position helps them settle their breathing fast.

Real cedar forms the outer shell. A 304 stainless steel liner and band line the inside. Cedar handles damp air well and ages into a deeper tone. The steel surface wipes clean and shrugs off corrosion through daily use.

Wood that changes over time

Every tub is built by hand. Grain and colour vary from one unit to the next. That variation is part of owning a wooden bath. The timber arrives pre-finished. Treat it with Danish oil now and then to feed the grain and hold the colour.

Chiller connections and drainage

Two 1/2" stainless steel ports sit on the tub body. One feeds warm water to a chiller. The other returns it cold. This closed loop holds a steady temperature without loose ice. The 1/2" size fits every ice bath chiller we sell. A built-in outlet valve empties the tub for cleaning or storage.

Getting in and out

A double-layer step comes with the bath. It gives stable footing for entry and exit. A fitted wooden cover keeps the water clean between plunges and slows warming.
