Each chiller pulls water through a cartridge that traps hair, skin and debris. Over weeks of use the cartridge clogs, so you rinse it and swap it out. Buying a pack of five keeps spares to hand and cuts the cost per filter.
The trick is fitting the right cartridge to your chiller. Size and micron rating both matter. Get either wrong and the filter either will not seat or will choke the flow.
Reading the micron rating
Micron is the size of particle a filter traps. A lower number catches finer bits. Our 5-micron packs trap small particles for the clearest water. The 20-micron pack lets more water through while still catching hair and organic debris. Finer filters clog sooner, so a 5-micron needs changing a little more often than a 20-micron.
Matching the cartridge to your chiller
Fit follows the chiller. The Core uses a short 5-inch cartridge for its compact housing. The Pro takes a 10-inch pleated cartridge for a full-height housing. The Elite runs a 250mm pleated 20-micron cartridge. Check your chiller before you order, or match the pack name to your unit.
