Oval Cedar Ice Bath: A Reclined Wooden Plunge

The Oval Cedar Ice Bath lets you lean back rather than sit upright. The stretched oval shape supports a laid-back posture. Your legs extend and your shoulders drop below the water. This suits people who want to stay in longer.

A reclined plunge eases the load on the neck and hips. With less to fight against, breathing settles more easily. Experienced plungers tend to prefer this over a squat-style barrel.

Cedar shell, steel interior

The outer body is real cedar. Inside sits a 304 stainless steel liner and band. Cedar copes with moisture and takes on a richer tone as it ages. The steel gives a hard, hygienic surface that cleans in seconds.

Each bath is made by hand, so grain and colour differ between units. The wood ships pre-finished. A wipe of Danish oil every so often keeps the grain fed and the colour deep.

Runs with a chiller

Two 1/2" stainless steel ports carry water to and from a chiller. Warm water leaves through one, cold water returns through the other. That loop holds your target temperature with no ice runs. The ports match every chiller in our range. An outlet valve drains the bath for a water change or a move.

Access and cover

A double-layer step is included for steady entry. A fitted cover protects the water between sessions and helps hold the cold.
